JESS BUSH AKA ONEJESSA

Honey when you're not here, I feel like I can't breathe

2018

October-November 2018

From the curator:

Jess is a dynamic producer working as both an actress and a visual artist, with a practice incorporating installation, photography, videography and painting. She’s a livewire, harnessing strong emotions and energy to produce expansive projects, many of which have received major sponsorship to support public interactions and documentation, an aspect which is important to her. For Knox St Window, she went above and beyond, turning the window into an entirely mirrored space surrounding a clear crystal ball suspended centrally and containing a single, floating honeybee. Upon a floor of fresh flowers which deteriorated over the 6 weeks of the exhibition, her work highlights the fragility of nature with the plight of the honeybee at the centre.
